For aisha review
We have always been very experimental when it comes to weaning our little one and he has always been very receptive towards new foods, tastes and cuisines. When it comes to flavour he has always preferred mild spices and herbs and from a young age I made sure I introduced a selection of seasonings in to his diet.
When I first came across for aisha pouches the bright and colourful packaging caught my eye straight away. As a mum I wanted to ensure that our little one had a well balanced diet that included home cooked dishes with vegetables, meat and lots of fresh fruits but during the weaning process I also realised that time is not always on my side! Therefore striking a balance between healthy and nutritious ready made purees and meals with home cooked meals has always been the realistic option for me. There are a wide range of purees and meals out there in the shops and supermarkets but nothing that had catered to the more wider world cuisine or Asian food, so when I saw the for aisha pouches I just had to give them a try!
for aisha is a UK-based baby food company which has a wide range of baby food pouches, specially formulated for babies from 7 months onwards. Made with the finest certified British halal meat and crammed with natural goodness, the pouches are available in six flavours from around the world; Moroccan Chicken Tagine with Couscous and Apricots, Shepherd’s Pie with Lamb and Aromatic Spices, Authentic Indian Chicken and Sweet Potato Curry, Mild Curried Chicken Dhal made with Lentils, Jamaican Jerk Chicken with Mango and a Vegetarian Tomato and Chunky Chickpea Curry.
The first flavour we tried was the chunky chickpea curry, I emptied the sachet on to a plate and I could see the chunky chickpeas, tomatoes and I could smell the tasty spices too. I had a quick spoonful; it was fresh tasting with a combination of mild and subtle earthy flavours like cumin and coriander. I then tested it out on our little one and he happily ate away – he ended up finishing the entire packet! Since then we have tried all the flavours each one fairly mild but each one just as tasty. Our toddler does have his favourites which include the Moroccan chicken tagine, the shepherd’s pie with lamb, the jerk chicken and the chickpea curry.
I would definitely recommend the for aisha pouches, they are a great way to introduce a little bit of flavour and subtly introduce toddlers to a range of tasty world cuisines. They are available in handy pouches that are easy to travel with and can be eaten warm, cold or room temperature. They do have a decent shelf life so great for last minute meals and can really be eaten any time or anywhere.
The for aisha range contain only natural ingredients; with no preservatives, artificial flavours or colours. They have been tested for quality and nutrition by a registered dietician and contain no added sugar and salt and are dairy, soya and nut free and most are also gluten-free.
